Auntie Pat was a much loved family friend. We were also work colleagues for a while, many years after my own mum had met and worked with her. She was always so positive, and optimistic, and cheerful, with words of wisdom and encouragement. I remember her elegance and gentle manner, which belied her strength and fortitude.
